Toysyo / CCS
A financial report on Toysyo toy stores are located in Chicago & San Diego. Toysyo specializes in Designer Toys for Collectors of vinyl and plush toys. The theme of this report is urban culture and expansion. This project was completed collaboratively with Andrea Farhat while I was at the Center for Creative Studies.
Chance methodologies and process drove this project from total chaos to actually helping some of Detroit’s homeless population. Warm Detroit started out as a chance driven, activist grounded project, in which my partner David Stafford and I randomly selected the old Packard Plant as the project’s starting point. By trusting the process guide and dictated what it is we should do, we found more possibilities and ideas than if we would of been rigid in our process. After a thorough cleaning and branded packaging was applied the clothing was ready to be gifted back to the city.
Detroit Transit Identity / CCS
The Detroit Transit Identity incorporated rail, bus, & the People Mover downtown. The graphics are an abstract representations of different cultures moving through the cities spaces. The system is intended to be inviting for the residences of the inner city as well as the neighbors in the local suburbs. The Rosa Parks Transit Center is the main touch point where patrons and employees alike see their movements generating the systems graphics around them.
This identity was created while I was at CCS in 2009. It was later selected to be apart of the Student Exhibit and gained some recognition by the Detroit Chapter of the AIGA.
